Re: An Arghtastic Battle
"Heh.
Whippersnapper." Mordechai turned to
the enormous creature that had freed him from his cell. "Don't you barbarians teach your kids any manners?"
Maximus just sighed, and
picked up Vess as she scampered to him. He cradled her in his arms, and
she curled up. She rummaged in newly reunited bag, pulled out a cookie,
and began to eat and listen to the conversation.
"I don't know any of you kids. I'm Mordechai, from
New Ravnica. I'm a navigator. My ship was headed into uncharted waters,
and we attacked by the beast ship."
Mordechai turned around and hopped to the next boat.

Re: An Arghtastic Battle
"...Whippersnapper?
I'll show you a bastard whippersnapper!" Quint
yelled, as he got up and watched the old man who claimed he were called
Mordechai jump to the next ship. Although it hurt to move, considering
the wound he had, he ignored it, and yanked Genesis out of the wooden
deck and jumped to the next ship as well, where Robert and Lilah were
standing.
Quint, although seeming cruel and rude at first glance,
was taught well by his father. The words he always beat into his head
began to repeat in Quints mind as he slowly walked towards the undead
Captain.
1. Put those you need and care about before
yourself.
"Har lad! I take
it you can stomach more than a sword to the gut?!" Robert
taunted Quint, who simply ignored him.
2. Never run from a
battle unless you know damn fine well your gonna end up dead.
Robert
let out a chuckle, and like before, threw Lilah to his left and readied
his cutlass.
3. Evil psycho path or not, ALWAYS treat
situations with honor, a calm mind and an incredibly sharp blade...
Quint
thrust his sword towards Robert, however stopping halfway to dodge from
an incoming blow from above from Robert. Before Robert could pull it
back up to swing again, Quint brought down his own blade towards the
Captains shoulder, cutting clean through it. Standing back, he noticed
this had barely affected the pirate.
"I'm already dead boy! Do you think losing an arm will matter?!"
Robert gave out a maniacal laugh as he started to swiftly slash at
Quint with his cutlass, only to have each blow parried. Quint rolled
round to Roberts left and pulled out a bomb.
As soon as Robert
turned around, Quint hacked open his chest with Genesis, leaving a
gaping hole.
"Was I speaking
another language yah scallywag? YOU CAN'T HURT ME! HAR HAR!"
He said aloud, only for Quint to give a smile and point to his chest,
implying for him to look at it. The Captain looked down to see a little
stream of smoke coming from his chest...where Quint had placed a bomb.
Quint took a few steps backwards and held his arms in front of his face,
as the Captain blew to smithereens.
"Recover from THAT, bastard pirate..." Quint said
as he strolled over to Lilah and pulled her up from the deck. The two
jumped back over to the ship where Glenn and Max were.
"So, Caledrian. Where did you park the boat?"

Re: An Arghtastic Battle
Hmm, how ironic. To comment that they were all undereducated and without
manners when he does not set a good example for them to follow.
Do as I say, not as I do, huh? It was also strange to be called a "kid"
when he is in his forties. However, Dao kept his mouth shut, though
Quint had already expressed his emotions for him. It doesn't seem like
he and Mordechai would get along any time soon.
However, all is
still well. No matter what, Mordechai did bring Vess' bag over
and played an indrect role in saving Quint. And that shouldn't be
overlooked. Dao stood at the side while the two crossed to the other
boat one after the other. The final battle was about to commence, and
seeing that Glenn, Maximus, and Vess made no attempt to follow Quint and
Mordechai, the mustached man merely watched the fight from afar with
his arms crossed.
It was actually over pretty quick. Compared to
what they've been through, this fight did not seem too difficult. Dao
did not really concentrate on the fight, though. His mind was reflecting
on Mordechai's words. Were they valid in some respect?
To a
stranger of a different culture, was the ability to do battle considered
an unworthy skill? Though, if the Seven Years' War did not exist, Dao
would've not been able to acquire such skills in the first place. Even
so, did Hyrule place too high of a value on fighting? The former Knight
remembered how the fighting arena was packed with spectators each time a
battle was held. They seemed almost too...eager for bloodshed.
Or, was this memory twisted in favor of Mordechai's words, and that the
basis that his words were incorrect was based on a distorted reality in
order to find some agreement?
It's confusing.
Nontheless,
it seemed like the fighting was over as quickly as it was begun, and
Dao emerged a happier man. After all, they haven't eaten lunch yet.

Re: An Arghtastic Battle
Glenn chuckled as they arrived back at the
boat.
I suppose it's nice that
we didn't have a boring adventure. The hull looks kinda damaged. We'll
need to find some sort of wood when we hit land. It's amazing that we
didn't get any interior damage though. Guess Doctor Losyl wasn't
slacking off when he built this.
Glenn looked off
into the distance at the sunrise.
We'll go that way, maybe we can find land over there.
As
Glenn turned back to look at the graveyard, the mist had seemed to be
expelled from the area. As if whatever had pained the land before had
vanished. Glenn could only wonder, what caused the pirates to rise back
up? Were they already dead...?
