Darkness Turns To Light Empty Darkness Turns To Light

Post by Bob-Kyle Tue Apr 20, 2010 12:14 pm

The story so far...

Quint had rallied a few adventurers into coming with him on his journey to see his father, who had passed away supposedly. Seeing as it was a custom in Quint's tribe to bury the dead in caves full of monsters and leave their treasure next to their deathbed, it was no wonder the group went with him.

However, as it had been a good few years since Quint had traveled to his home fortress the Gerudo desert, he had called upon his sister, Selah, to help him find the way home. Little did they know, Naraku, Quint's childhood rival and enemy since he left his tribe in exile, was planning something a "surprise party" for Quints return, involving a few demons.

Along the way, the party decided to rest, as it is well known that only fools don't take breaks in massive trips across deserts. During the night though, Selah woke our hero up in the middle of the night, claiming she had something to talk to him about. Taking him up a hill away from the camp, she told Quint she was sorry, and before Quint could even utter the word why, he was gagged and knocked out from a blow to the head.

In the morning, with Quint gone, and with no real reason to go to his fathers deathbed, the party disbanded, except for Maximus Force and his adopted Kokiri daughter. Clearly seeing something is wrong, they and Selah continue onwards to her and Quint's home fortress.

Darkness Turns To Light Empty Re: Darkness Turns To Light

Post by Bob-Kyle Tue Apr 20, 2010 12:14 pm

(Earl, feel free to join in this one if you want, nothing much has
really happened in it)

Selah stood by the boar's as she watched
everybody but Max and Vess walk away. She was trying to think of a way
to show sadness without guilt, but ti was proving bad.
"But it
wasn't her fault, I had to!
" Selah thought over and over again. And
it was true. If she hadn't done as what Naraku had ordered, setting
Quint up for an ambush to be kidnapped, he would have killed their
mother. After so many years, she had been reunited with her, and to keep
her, she had given up her only brother...

After thinking it
through, and simply keeping a straight face, she looked towards Max and
Vess.
"I don't suppose you two want to continue on to our home
fortress?"

------------------------

Quint's eyes slowly
opened, though barely. He could feel pain all over, and struggled to
keep his eyes open due to them being swollen.
"Urrghhh....what
happened...?"
Quint thought as he noticed the ground moving beneath
him. he realized he was on the back of a boar, with someone else riding
in front of him. Trying to open his mouth, swollen too, he could not,
due to a cloth being tied tight round his mouth. Still trying to keep
his eyes open and think, he quickly succumbed to the pain his body and
blacked out once more.

"Why sister...?"

Glenn had been following Vess and Maximus
since he had helped reunite them. It was something to do, while not back
at Hyrule. He glanced at the woman, known as Selah, and sighed. The
fact that Quint had a sister, just as he had had a brother so long
ago... It depressed him.

The
war is over... So why are we still fighting...? They said if we
fought--if we fought, the fighting would finally stop... Were there
really more loose ends to tie up? More fighting to be had? Would we ever
know true peace...?

What's the plan...?

Glenn continued
thinking. He had planned to put Caliburn back at the ruins of Caledra
after the war, but... that didn't work out too well. He sighed once
again, and looked towards Selah, awaiting a response.

Darkness Turns To Light Empty Re: Darkness Turns To Light

Selah looked back at Glenn, irritated that he had missed what she had
suggested about heading to her home. Guess every party of adventurers
has their late comer one, and apparently Quint was replaced.
"The
plan is to head to mine and Quints fortress home. There isn't anything
but that for miles from where we are, so it's logical the fool is
heading that way, ahead of us, for whatever reason he has," she glanced
at Max and Vess before continuing on, "Everybody but you three have
given up and left, so I won't blame you for taking your leave as well"
she lifted a hand to her face to move a strand of hair that was annoying
her, as she turned and got up upon one of the boars they had took.
"Choose
so now, as I want to get going."

Hob quickly flew over to Selah
and sat on her shoulder.
"Whatever way you are going, I will
follow..."
Hob said as he leaned back. Selah smiled at in knowing
she won't be alone either way.
--------

Naraku watched the
glittery mirror in front of him, within a large stone hall, with a large
square table taking up the majority of the space of the room. No one
knew how Naraku had came upon the many demonic powers he now possessed,
but one of them included the ability to watch over things from afar
through reflective objects, such as mirrors and water. Currently he was
watching Selah and what was left of the party Quint had gathered before
being captured and betrayed by his sibling.
"You
are brave to still yet bring those fools towards me Selah, despite my
saying to not do so..."
Naraku said quietly as he waved a hand to
return the mirror to normality, and turned around to face the demon
servants he had called upon who occupied the table.
"However it is nothing that you cannot make short
work off, can you Omech?"
Naraku said towards a gruff, well built
demon on the left side of the table.

Omech had short blond hair
styled into a fauxhawk, and a goatee to match. He wore long black
leather coat with chain mail visible underneath. Although not the
brightest of Naraku's henchmen, what he lacked in intelligence, he more
than made up for with brute strength and a heck of a blood thirsty rage,
with suited powers to match.
"Of course my lord, I shall do your
bidding. When shall I go take care of them?"
Naraku turned around
again and waved again at the mirror.
"Not
yet, Omech, let them travel a little longer in peace. For now, let us
check up on Quint..."
he answered, as the mirror began to show a
bloodied Quint carried on the back of a boar.

Maximus took a deep
breath. This adventure had just took a turn for the worse. Why was it
that all the evil masterminds had fortresses in the dessert? Even
Keeseman's nemesis' had compounds in the desert, complete with
accomplices and traps to menace the Caped Crusader.

This time it
was worse. Vess was with him. And yet... he still did owe Quint for
helping him to save Vess. As much as his initial encounter with the
young gerudo put him off, he did owe him.

He looked down at
Vess. She looked utterly distressed. She was looking at a piece of
Jewelery Maximus had never seen before. Then she looked up at him.

"Max,
we're going to help them."

Maximus
was so utterly shocked by her brashness, that all he could do was nod.
And then he nodded and Selah, and that was that.)

Darkness Turns To Light Empty Re: Darkness Turns To Light

Post by Bob-Kyle Tue Apr 20, 2010 12:15 pm

Selah forced a smile as the Goron nodded to indicate they were coming
and ready.

"Well then. We aren't
much, but I guess we'll do..."
Selah said, and dug her heels
in to the boars sides, causing it to squeal and start charging, leaving
the others to wonder what could possibly happen that would need any more
adventurers. As she rode she looked to the sky, and thought she saw a
large Guay bird. For a moment she thought...no...probably not.

-------

A
Hylian sat on a horse looked out around him. There was nothing for
miles, and yet even though many get lost in the vast sea of sand he was
one of the smart few who knew the rare landmarks around the desert to
know where to go. he was blond, with his hair tied up in a ponytail with
fringe styled into curtains. Broad shoulders and well built, he was a
born warrior, with handsome facial features to match. In his mid
twenties, some would say this man was in his prime.

The man held
out his arm as a Guay bird landed on his fore arm. It chirped, and then
fed on a small piece of meat the man held near his mouth, and then
stretched his arm forwards as the Guay took flight once more, flying in a
straight direction.

"Hmm...guess
it won't take as long as I thought it would to find you Selah..."

the man murmured, as he kicked his heels to cause his horse to gallop
in the direction of the Guay, his sword and bow bouncing up and down on
his back.

-------

"Wakey
wakey Arborinus..."

Quint tried to figure out where
he heard that voice before, as he struggle to open his eyes. His vision
wasn't so good, seeing only a black figure in front of him. He tried to
move his arms but with no success. Turning his head, he made out the
chains that held his arms upwards.

"...Nnnnnggghhh....who
are you...? Where am I?"
Quint said, his chest
lurched as he coughed.

"Oh,
Quintinius, really. After all these years you can't remember who I am?
Hmm, never mind. In answer to your second question, you, my friend...are
home."

Quint looked back towards the figure,
still unable to make him out who it was and let his head fall so he
faced the stone floor.

"Home?
What...?"
Quint wondered, as he suddenly realized, and
lifted his head to make out the mans black, gelled back hair, his red
glowing eyes, his black tunic on top of chain mail and with black
gauntlets covering his hands. On top of his broad muscled shoulder was a
metal pauldron covering his neck to his shoulders, with an opening at
the chest, covered in intricate designs.

"Naraku..." Quint breathed his name, as he saw
an incredibly creepy and intimidating grin on Narakus face at hearing
Quint speak his name.

"Oh good! So
you do remember me, Lucifer. Now that your fully awake, how about
I explain to you why I have brought you here?"
Naraku
replied, as he stretched an rm to his right, gesturing a young boy to
come stand next to him. The boy looked but four years old, with dark
hair and wide yellow eyes and dark skin.
"Theran?!" Quint exclaimed in shock at
the sight of his son.

-------

Selah rode on with the group
of adventurers following her. She held out a fist to tell the others to
stop as she sensed something. She looked swiftly around, curious to
what she ha felt. It wasn't a physical feeling, but more like that
feeling you get when something bad is about to happen. Then it occurred
to her that Naraku had probably been watching her when she had gathered
what was left of Quints party to follow her.

Suddenly a flash of
fire caught her sight, as several feet in front of her, a large evil
looking...well it looked like a man, appeared in front from the fire.
The boar that Selah was riding had reared up at the sight of the fire
and the strange man, and chucked Selah of it's back and ran off, with
the other boars soon following, their riders suffering the same fate as
Selah, landing on the desert sand.

"You
went against our Lord's orders Selah! Now you shall pay the punishment!
But first, I would like to introduce myself..."
the
man said, as he took a bow, and once again stood upright.

"My name is Omech. I tell you this as I like to
make sure my enemies know the name of the Demon who forced them to take
their final breath...now that I have done that, I think I shall choose
the first of you to die by my hand!"
Omech roared,
before looking at each adventurer, finally locking eyes with Maximus the
Goron. Punching his fists together, he began to run forwards, gaining
speed as he ran towards Max. Selah noticed as he came closer and closer
that his skin changed to steel, noticing the loud thumping sound that
was now being made from his feet on the sand. Selah got up and jumped
out the way, knowing she could not do anything to harm this metal
monstrosity.

"Ready yourself
Goron!"
he bellowed, as he brung his shoulder in front
aiming to shoulder barge Maximus painfully with his steel body.

Maximus didn't have much to say. He was
ready. They stood for a second, looking at each other, waiting for the
other to do something. The others didn't move, unsure about what was
about to happen either.

Maximus had learned the art of stare
down from Sumo, which was one of the skills his Uncle Spartacus had
insisted he learn. A lesser creature would have been sufficiently
intimidated. A giant, demonic, metallic golem might not have been,
though. Maximus couldn't really tell.

Finally Olmech, or
whatever the thing's name was, surged forward. Maximus braced himself,
calling once more on his sumo training. The thing hit home, but Maximus
stood his ground. The thing quickly got upright, dodging the downward
blow. It balled its fists together, and swat at his titanic opponent.
Maximus took the hit in the side, and knocked it knocked him to the
ground. The lept for a body slam, but Maximus rolled over, heard a
ker thunk and
rolled over again, planting his elbow into... some metal, anyway.

"Great."

(I wasnt sure if anyone
else wanted in on this. If not, Ill finish up next post. And last night I
was up late watching For a few dollars more. See if you can see where I
was inspired by it)

Glenn had sat back and watched for the most
part, but drew his bow as Omech hit the ground. He cocked back an arrow,
aimed straight for the thick skin. The Golden Bow glew as the arrow
burst into flames and flew into the man, which although the arrow didn't
have much of an effect at all, the armored demon heat up extensively.

Glenn
had already cocked back another arrow, and once again called upon the
power of the fairies as this arrow froze, and whizzed through the air.
This immediately cooled down the armor, and froze the demon in place.
Glenn watched as the spot hit with the fire arrow cracked, leaving a
vulnerable spot in the armor.

With that, Glenn sheathed his bow,
and drew Caliburn.

Maximus,
strike the cracked point!

Selah looked on at the fight that was going on between Glenn, Max
and...Olmek? Ohmol? Omech, yes, that was his name. She wanted to help,
but there wasn't really anything she could do. She had no weapons nor
any offensive magic to help them. She looked up and heard the sound of a
Guay cawing loudly.

"Took your
time to join the party..."
She said as she looked around for
any sign of the man she expected to be riding in on a horse.

------

"Come on boy, it's only sand. You can gallop
faster than this damnit..."
The blond haired man urged his
horse to go faster as they headed towards the conflict a few yards in
front of them. Taking heed to his words, the horse began galloping
faster, harder, causing them to cover the distance between him and the
fight swiftly.

Taking one hand from the reins and unsheathing
his blade at his hip, he pulled on the reins and jumped forwards off of
his horse, landing on top of Omech, thrusting his blade down into the
crack the Caledrian had made with his magic arrows. Although it had
widened the fissure in the Demon, that was all it had appeared to do as
Omech began to shake the man off. Before he could so, the man had pulled
his sword out of the Demon and jumped off, landing on the sand.

"Lovely, we get the only member of the
family who has a good heart to come help out..."

Hob said, only to be ignored by the man.

Before Omech could
recover from being frozen, having a fissure in his back and having a
sword thrust down into it, the man grabbed the flail at his other hip
and threw it at Omech, wrapping it around his neck, pulling him to the
ground.

"The names Temujin. Now do
you boys mind finishing him off? Perhaps you, mister nine foot tall
Goron with that armory on your back?"
Temujin introduced
himself as he tried to stop Omech from getting back up.

"RELEASE ME HYLIAN SCUM!" Omech
screamed wildly at Temujin.

Maximus gave the man
an odd look. They all had armories on their backs. His was,
appropriately, just the biggest. Maximus just smashed the creature's
head with Mjolnir. Vess walked over to him. They both looked at the
newcomer. Maximus wondered vaguely who this person was, and what he was
doing here.

He waited to see what Selah would do, though. If she
knew this man, then Maximus would rest easy.

Post by Bob-Kyle Tue Apr 20, 2010 12:16 pm

"What does my
son have to do with any of this? Heck, what is going on? I'm still
confused!"
Quint asked as Theran just stood and stared at
him.

Naraku just continued to smirk, as he materialized Quints
Helshezag sword into his hands.
"You see
this blade, Lucifer? Are you aware of the power it holds within? The
soul of the demon that forged it? The very SAME demon who left remnants
of himself in yours, mine and that Zora's minds once we touched the
blade?"

Quint nodded, though still confused to what
his point was.

"Well, I want to use
this power for myself. ALL of it. And without the fool of a demon taking
hold of me, of course, otherwise it would be fairly...pointless."

Naraku then caused the sword to disappear, as he then opened the cell
door and walked over to Quint.

"Normally
this would be impossible, what with the two remnants stuck in yours and
Rooks head. And his is gone, seeing as you killed him...Anyways, that
will all cease to be a problem in two nights time. I would explain it to
you, but I have a matter I need attend to, and I think your son wants
to be alone with his...father."
Naraku then
disappeared amidst purple fire, and Theran ran over to Quint and
embraced him.

-------

"Cousin,
what in Din's name are you doing here?"
Selah said as she
embraced Temujin, and with her recognition, calmed everyone down at the
sight of the newcomer.

"Me? I
could say the same to you Selah! I warned you never to leave that Fort
of yours. Specially not in these times. Did you not read the letter I
sent?"
Temujin replied, holding Selah by the shoulders in
front of him.

Before she could answer though, the two heard a
low chuckle coming from the remains of Omech, who Max had smashed to
pieces. The fragments of metal began to liquefy, and slowly form back
into the humanoid form of Omech once again.

"Heh...You should not have intervened Hylian...Now you shall
die along with everyone here!"
Omech threatened Temujin.
However, before anyone could act on this, a flash of purple fire rose
from the ground between everyone and Omech, to reveal a dark haired
Gerudo, who was quite literally glowing with power.

"My...My lord?"

"Hmph. You will not harm them Omech. Like I had
told you, and everyone else who are loyal to me, you do NOT get a second
chance. Fail me once, and that is it..."
Naraku said
calmly, barely showing any emotion. Despite Omech pleading for his life
and claiming he can try again, Naraku raised a hand and a stream of
lightening shot out of his hand and began lifting Omech into the air. He
let out a blood curdling scream, until he simply dematerialized to
become no more. Not even a speck of him was left.

Naraku turned
to face the group.

"Perhaps
I...underestimated you. I suppose I should give you a chance. Oh. And
for those who are confused. Quint did not walk off. His darling big
sister, betrayed him, obeying my orders. She just had a change of heart
and decided to have you lot come with her and try to save him from my
clutches. Goodbye now. I will be surprised if you fools still follow
blindly in helping the Lucifer family..."
Naraku said, before
he disappeared amidst a load of purple flame again.

Temujin took
a few steps backwards from Selah.

"...You...you
betrayed him? Why? Are you working for that madman now?"

Temujin questioned her, a look of disgust on his face. Sure, Quint was a
hassle to be with, but his family loved him, even if he didn't return
that love.

"You don't understand.
I had to...Naraku...he has mother. And he threatened to kill her if I
didn't do as he wanted, which was get him Quint. He wants the whole
Lucifer family, at least, our side, he didn't want you and Uncle Norman.
And no, I don't know why, but like I said, I had no choice. He even
killed our father!
Selah explain, tears in her eyes. Temujin
sighed, and embraced her again.

"Cousin...I
understand. But why did you have to lie? Surely these people would have
helped if they had known?"
Temujin asked, motioning towards
the group Quint had gathered in the first place.

Selah wiped the
tears from her eyes.

"I couldn't,
otherwise, well, it happened anyways. He knew I was bringing them to
stop him...Please, help us?
Selah pleaded. Temujin, with a
nod of his head, agreed he would help them.

"By the way...why ARE you here? And what did you mean
specially not in these times? You know the war is over, right?"

Temujin
sighed again.

"Naraku wants
everyone on your side of the family, yes? I know why. Something big,
something catastrophic is about to happen in two nights time. Something
that Naraku is going to take advantage of to gain enough power to even
rival that of the Dark Lord Ganondorf, heck, perhaps even the God's
themselves. It just so happens, it involves the Lucifers. However most
important, it will require you and Quint. Selah...it is only you two
that he needs. He was only using Uncle Siegfried and your mother for
leverage, so you can do his bidding and draw Quint into his grasp. So,
we need to move quickly..."
Temujin explained, as he looked
towards everybody else.

"And if
these fine adventurers feel like being Heroes, well then. We could do
with their help! Now bear with, I am going to gather my mercenaries."

Temujin said, as he pulled some paper out of his pocket, wrote a small
message on it, and tied it to the Guay's leg that was came to wrest on
his forearm. After he was done, it flew up and went west.

"I also suggest if you lot have any friends who
could be of help and would be willing, tell them to come lend a
hand...This will be big. And annoyingly enough, the distance between us
and the Fort is a two day trip. We will most likely make it there
afternoon, with a few hours to spare before the night that Naraku will
gain his power."

"Why am I always late?" Dao had overslept, it seems. Or perhaps they
thought it was a funny joke, leaving him to die of thirst and hunger in
the desert. Or maybe they just forgot about him. Either way, when the
man peeked out from his flimsy shelter (which, mind you, did not stand
well against strong winds), only to find the once massive army was gone,
with only a few abandoned tents, 5,893,2839,021 grains of sand, and a
half eaten sandwich to greet him good morning.

Curses.

He
did not set a very good example for everyone else. Dao munched
thoughtfully on the sandwich, thinking about how he was going to regroup
with the others, before shuffling back inside his tent. Well, breakfast
first, and a decent one at that, before heading out. Only a few drops
apple cider to go with the sandwich. Quite unfortunate, indeed.

A
sudden gust of wind howled across the sands, lifting the tent up into
the air and disappearing with the rest of the 782,389,712,902 grains of
sand. Dao was left with a half eaten sandwich, a few drops of apple
cider, and 124,325,653 grains of the sand.

Curses.

Having
made his preparations, the Hyrulian took out his compass. This would
lead him right to Glenn, and there is no doubting that everyone else is
there. Dao vanished from the scene, only to reappear on a horse and
proceeded to fall backwards and land head first in the sand.

Curses.

"I can't shake the
feeling like I'm forgetting something."

Vess looked up at him.

"Probably
just your imagination. Don't worry." She let
out a frustrated groan.
"Why must every bad guy have a compound
in the desert! Even in Keeseman, it seems every bad guy has a lair
here!"

Vess ate a cookie out her bag,
and Maximus had some bombs, and still they continued to travel, Maximus
unable to shake the notion that they had forgotten something very
important.

At last they came to the entrance of a cave, at which
point Selah stopped to check a map.

"Stay close,
travelers. This is the Twisting Grotto, it changes every time one passes
through it."

"So it's like the lost woods."

They went in walking slowly, with Maximus and Vess
bringing up the rear. There was a light layer of fog. Maximus made sure
to stay close to Glenn, as the fog grew deeper and deeper. It grew
hotter, and the fog deeper. There was a distant roar.

Darkness Turns To Light Empty Re: Darkness Turns To Light

((OoC: For a few of my posts from now on, gonna be splitting them in
half. Half Story/flashback involving Narakus, Quints and Temujins back
story, and the other half being...well RPing. If you aren't all that
bothered, don't read it, fine with me lol. To be more convenient, the
story half will be at the bottom half of the post. Cause I'm that
nice.))

"Everybody stick
together. Least that way we can get lost together..."
Selah
suggested, frowning as Temujin chuckled at her being openly fearful.

"You know, although this may seem faster than
going round the mountain range to get to the Fortress, considering that
it changes each time, we'd probably take up more time trying to find our
way through it..."
Temujin said, but from the look he got
from Selah he suddenly thought he should have kept his mouth shut.
Younger cousins can be really testy...

Despite the fact Temujin
was showing nothing but confidence and determination, he couldn't shake
off the feeling that he was being watched...

They continued
deeper into the caves, with Selah and Temujin taking the lead, taking
about a few minutes at each fork in the path to figure out which way to
go. Although it seemed like they were choosing a direction at random, it
was more of a skill. Selah had grown accustomed to wandering into the
caves and having to find her way back out again, and in doing so, had
discovered that certain parts of the caverns were made of slightly
different rock, with different types of textures and knowing the cave
well, she knew what kind to look for, but even then it was hard, and was
very easy to get one fork wrong and get lost.

Eventually, they
came across a large chasm, that seemed to have three entrances in it,
all connected by bridges connecting to a large rock slab in the middle
all being held up by pillars that went down so far that all anyone could
see was darkness.

Unfortunately enough, Selah had never come
across a chasm like this before in her experience, so the Gerudo and
Hylian were a bit stumped at wondering which entrance to choose...

"Well. I'm stumped...Anyone got any ideas?"
Selah said as she made herself onto the massive piece of rock in the
middle of the chasm, and peered down into the engulfing darkness
below...and felt something was down there...

"Well, I was happy with just following you since you knew
your way through these damned caves, but I guess that won't-"

Temujin was cut off, as the rock that Selah was on was rumbling.
Suddenly a large behemoth of a snake like creature writhed itself up the
massive pillar holding up the rock slap Selah was on and stayed there,
staring at Selah, perhaps hungry, seeing her as a tasty snack,
considering the comparison in size.

It opened it's colossal sized
mouth and bared four humongous fangs.

Temujin ran down across
the bridge and joined Selah, unsheathing his blade and readying his
morning star, beckoning for the others to come.

"So enough
of that, what exactly does my son have to do with any of this?"

Quint asked, still shackled in his cell.

"Hmm, well, as you know, you and your sister are very important
in the event that will soon come, but you do not know WHY that is. Well
then, let me tell you. Although you may not know it, but your father
may have known, half of your blood comes from a special bloodline
consisting of the great knight of Hyrule who seized Helshezag and
trapped him inside the forsaken blade you have been carrying for so
long. Now, he was not alone, however, as all he did was defeat Helshezag
in battle and weaken him enough to be sealed, which, unfortunately for
him, he did not have the power to do.

However, as heroic tales
tell, he was not alone, but was helped by a female, who had within her
the magic to seal him. Together, they weakened him and sealed him within
the blade. After that, it was passed down to each first born male of
the Lucipher line to be guarded and protected from those who would
release Helshezag. Each first born male possessed within him the power
which that Knight of Hyrule held, and each first born female, the power
of the woman who helped seal the demon.

Of course, nothing ever
works out as it should, and Helshezag found a way to cause despair
outside the blade while he remained within. He managed to control those
who were foolish enough to wield the sword like puppets and use them as
his tools of destruction.

Eventually one of the legendary
Knight's descendants realized this before being took over and decided to
lock it away in a temple, with the help of course, from his sister's
magic.

Now this worked for several centuries until one Knight,
by the name of Siegfried, broke the tradition of keeping the bloodline
within Hylians, and fell in love with a Gerudo. Henceforth giving the
world of Hyrule two special children. A boy...and girl, of both Hylian
and Gerudo blood. Both within them, the blood of the Hylian Knight and
the Hylian Sage.

The couple, however, didn't only want to break
the tradition of keeping the bloodline only Hylian, but also of
continuously giving this destiny to each first born son, so they left
him with the Deku tree in the Kokiri forest and returned to the mothers
tribe in the desert, believing they would never see him agai-"

"Wait that's me right? I was the one who was
left in the Kokiri forest?
Quint blurted out.

"Hmph...Nothing gets past you...Anyways, you know
the story from there, you finally realized at 12 you weren't a damned
child who would never grow up, and were banished from the forest for
causing far to much havoc, being the little bastard you are. You then
went on to come across the temple with the sword and took the blade, due
to the blood running through your veins, though unbeknown to what it
truly was, not a sword, but a prison. After that, you were reunited with
your family, were trained by Temujin and then went on to join him, me
and Balvazzar on our raids. Heh, your cousin insisted we take only what
we need, and Balvazzar blindly followed his guidance.

But once,
on one of our raids on the Zora domain, you managed to lose the sword,
fool as you are, and was injured, missing out on the next couple
little...adventures...we had while you were stuck at the Fort. Neither I
nor Balvazzar returned one day, so when the Zoras finally paid a visit
in revenge for us, there was only an injured Quint and his cousin to
defend the Fortress. Of course, you were successful, but you had many
losses...one of them including Pearl...your lover. Remember her? Mother
of your child?

Now, here's the funny thing.

The Zora that
had killed her, went by the name of Rook Smeal. Rook, I don't know how,
but he did, came across the Helshezag blade that you had lost, and had
been taken control of, using it to kill Pearl, in cold blood, as you
watched...

After that, you and Temujin managed to wound the Zora
and retrieve your sword. Beforehand, the power in you naturally had
resisted the Helshezags grip on you, but the mental breakdown you had
from watching the mother of your child die allowed him t-"

"Take over my mind and cause me to cut the
Zora population in half, thank you very much. Kinda know that part of my
life. I still don't understand how any of this relates to Theran..."

"Hmm...weren't you listening at all? I need both
you and Selah in the next two nights. Course, your bloods are enough
power, but what if I can have double? Don't you remember Quint? The
power runs through each first born male? Theran is your only son. With
both him, you and Selah, i have more than enough power when the time
comes that I need it!

Darkness Turns To Light Empty Re: Darkness Turns To Light

"I've never been good at directions," Dao thought, slowly trudging
behind the group. Since everyone else seems to know where they're
going...eh well, why not?

Only it turns out that they did not
know where they're going. Apparently. Instead, everyone will have to be
satisfied with a massive snake for an enemy.

Maybe it wasn't
such a good idea to come after all. However, considering that the two
cousins had already ran to the large slab of stone in the middle, Dao
decided that it would be best to join them.

The snake seemed to
not notice everyone else on the side and only focused on the two
standing in the center. If they all just grouped together, it was likely
that they would all be knocked down the chasm.

Damn.

But
maybe Selah and Temujin knew what they were doing. Dao took a chance
and quickly closed the distance between him and the pair. "I suppose you
have a plan?" he murmured to Temujin as his hands gripped the handles
of his two blades.
